Ranthambore is a popular destination of India for its exotic flora and fauna. Ranthambore is located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan where Ranthambore National Park is located. This park is one of the largest parks in India where Royal Bengal Tigers can be spotted in large number. Some other wild animals that can be spotted are- leopard, nilgai, chital, blackbuck, deer, striped hyenas, sambar deer, chinkara, desert cats, common yellow bats, Indian wild boar, caracals, five striped palm squirrels and so on.
Wildlife safari can be experienced in the national park twice a day in the morning and afternoon. It is better to book a jeep / canter in advance to enjoy the wildlife safari. The park remains closed between the months of July, August and September due to the Rainy Season. There are almost 10 zones in the park where you may get entry for safari.
The Ranthambore National Park is also known for bird watching. Several colorful domestic and migratory birds can be spotted. Experience the majestic architecture of Ranthambore Fort where a popular Ganesh Temple lies. This fort is located at the top of the hills where you can take glimpses of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve as well as enjoy the photography.
